Welcome to the Ross & District Walking Group

We’ve been going for over 40 years and currently have over 100 members. New members are always welcome. Typically walks take place twice a week and range from 3 to 10 miles and from easy to hard.

The rendezvous is Ross Sports Centre (unless stated otherwise) and members share cars to get to the start point of the walk. Therefore, you don’t need a car, just turn up at the Ross Sports Centre about 15 minutes before the ‘depart’ time shown in the programme. There is no need to book. Please park away from the Petanque Court. We always stop for a coffee break and mostly have either a picnic or pub lunch. The size of individual groups varies but is usually 8 to 20 walkers. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on the walks. In addition to regular walks the group meets from time to time for various social events and there is usually at least one walking weekend away somewhere each year.
